A flyer has been posted on several sites regarding the clean up for the 17th and as you can imagine there is a mix of different opinions. So let us address some of those questions, comments and concerns. I can imagine that seeing the flyer and then visiting our site seems a little questionable. A site about street life cleaning up the streets? I say YES to all those perplexed by this. Just because we are addicts, tattooed, felons, recovering addicts. criminals, prison record or just not like the civilian community does not mean WE don't have a belief system or look blindly on. We are aware of the problems in the street the same as civilians are, it is our people out there! But like anything in life there are rules there is a code of conduct and there is a time to be proactive. To say we are passing judgement is not true we are resolving the problem so we do not lose more people to overdose, heat related illness or the legal system. And we are handling our code of conduct being violated and the rules being broken in our lifestyle. Using drugs at Bus Stops, In Bathrooms and representing yourself like a moron is frowned upon by everyone! It is a violation to the fullest!
We surely are not going to sit in a block watch meeting or on a neighborhood site discussing the homeless problem or being a "karen" for the sake of doing nothing.
And I have to ask for those of you that say "it's sketchy" who is passing judgement? You should be Grateful that we are taking the intuitive to clean up the Northside instead of saying "ewwwww." Our children attend schools the same as all yours' do in the area, we ride the bus as do some of you and we care that FETANYL is killing our people. I ask all of you think about the change you hand out to the Homeless or the $1 you slip through the window at a traffic light, a fetanyl pill costs $3-$5. So how many of you have contributed to the problem?
If it seems sketchy DON'T HELP its that simple. We will stand together and clean up these areas as we are criminals, addicts and tattooed. We will save those that want to be saved that day and those that don't will relocate away from the Northside. The kids' of the Northside will not walk thru the side affects of addiction, they will not be exposed to what us adults choose to do to ourselves and they will feel safe/comfortable in the upcoming school year "WE FELONS/ADDICTS/CRIMINALS" promise that.
In closing I would like to say that no matter what path someone has chosen in life or what the content is about on a webpage this should not prohibit people coming together and reaching a common goal or securing an environment safe for the future...our children!
